Title: Water leak
Post by: physicsfool on May 24, 2013, 11:11:15 AM
Morning all,

Wasn't sure which section leaks falls under so decided this would do. Getting a fair bit of water coming in from just above where my accelerator foot is when on the pedal. Pools quite nicely by the door so i thought my door was leaking.
Is it a case of removing the panels and having a look, or is there a runoff in the engine that could be blocked/tends to get blocked

Cheers

I would say check your battery tray, these tend to rust through and that is just above the pedels so when it rains it runs into the foort well.

Definitly, had the same symptoms so stuck my head up under the dash and had a 6 inch rusty hole behind my battery

I was thinking i would check my battery tray.  ;D

Turns out the whole back of the shelf is rotten, so my mate is sorting me out with a piece of metal cut to size and his mad welding skills.

Cheers lads
