Post by: Freddy77 on May 18, 2013, 10:40:22 PM
I have just put my engine back in after a good clean up
And replace a few bits and it will start cold first turn of the key
Once its hot however if I turn it off it will not start agin till cold
Will not even fire,  no idea what it is
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Fred

I have same issue.  Infact it behaves like the battery is flat.  Clock goes blank and starter is really sluggish.  Not looked into it much yet but it's a pain!  Always park at top of hills now so I can jump it if needs be.

This is what haynes states fred:

Engine difficult to start when hot
Air filter element dirty or clogged (Chapter 1).
Fuel injection system fault (Chapter 4A or 4B).
Low cylinder compressions (Chapter 2A).

Anyone got any tips,

The car was up to temp, fan kicking in and the blue temp was unplugged. No change in engine at all, but whilst its warming up you can unplug as the revs rise.
