i'm looking for one too. From what I've read all over the forum is that size is based on how how hard you're working the engine. 7 - 13 rows is the general range. Key point i think is to get a thermostatic part set to about 70 degrees. But I'm sure someone with one will provide a better insight.

mocal or setrab are the ones to go for if budget will allow. if you have gone turbo (and drive it in anger) you want the biggest one within reason that you can fit in the given space. if supercharged then you will get away with a smaller unit. As mentioned above, get a thermostatic take off plate, they are beneficial to getting the oil up to working temp in a shorter time which is important. If you use the search function this subject has been covered in some depth and should give some clues to peoples findings on sizes of matrixs...

I have a non thermostatic one which is so annoying as its a 16 row and takes ages to get up to temp. It did come with braided lines though and was only £80 . I'd defo recommend getting a thermo one
