Been a while since I have been on here and this isn't the best reason for me coming back. I have been putting this off for ages (as I am really not warming to the idea, but needs must) so here goes.

My Genuine Polo G40, I purchased my car a little over two years ago and had so much fun ripping around in it the first year, watching people's faces drop when a little polo overtook them.
At the end of the year the blanking plug dropped out of the oil pump, this made me panic big time as I thought the worst (play in the bearings), but to my surprise when the engine came apart it was just the pump. Anyway, with the engine out and stripped, I went ahead with the rebuild. This consisted of:
Replacement of all slightly worn rubber bushes e.t.c, like engine mounts
New Bearings, big end and main
Piston rings
Oil pump
Reconditioned head with new:
Valve guides
Cut and lapped valves
New head bolts
All new gaskets and seals
Mods:
Satge 4/full blend supercharger
Helix organic clutch
gt inlet manifold (Slightly ported)
4-2-1 exhuast manifold (slightly ported)
Slightly ported head
Decat
65mm pulley
Drilled grooved discs and fast road/track pads
Boost gauge
Oil pressure gauge
Koni dampers and springs on the rear lowering springs on the front
Strut Brace bar on the back (also have one for the front not fitted yet)
Once the work had been carried out and we got it all back together my beater was sold and I was straight back out on the road eating up the running in miles. Since then it's been a trouble free 7-8000 miles.
There is currently no tax or MOT on the vehicle it can be added at request but the price will be effected.
The total mileage on the car is 137,000, I believe, but will have to double check but it obviously has only travelled 7-8000 since rebuild.
I believe the car is pushing around 140-150 bhp but I have no proof of this. It does pretty well against my 8p Audi s3 up 'til about 60ish, then the gap is evident.
I do have spares, which if requested would increase the price of the car. The spares include:
Spare supercharger, may need a service
Spare polo head
Couple of gasket sets
Standard G40 manifold and lower manifold to where the cat used to be
Various lowering springs
Exhaust heat shield wrap
Standard inlet manifold
Now for the bad points, all cars have them:
No tax or MOT, as stated,
One rust spot near the windscreen. about the size of a 5/10 pence piece, maximum
I believe there to be an issue with the drive shaft, sometimes on full lock it will twang, but only every now and then
I think that's all (haven't driven the car for quite some time)
Now down to the price. I paid £2500 for it 2 years ago and have spent more than double this on the car since ownership. So, taking all the above into consideration, the prices are as follows;
As it stands no tax/MOT - £2500
" " " " " " and spares £2800
Taxed and MOT'd with spares - £3000
The only reason for the sale is that I'm buying my first house, so anything that can go is.
