Post by: G40BLUE on December 28, 2012, 03:36:53 PM
Hello,
could you please someone tell me how can i test fuel pump?
Sometimes when I go to 5000/5500rpm and change the gear the car reduces the acceleration.

Could you please help me?

Thanks

the fuel pump must be doing 3 bar of pressure, to test that, you must to connect a pressure gauge to the fuel injection rail, if you get a look to the rail, you will see an aluminium exit with a screw sealing the exit. undo the screw and connect a pressure gauge on that exit. if the fuel pump is ok, the gauge will indicate 3 bar(engine running).
Before that, make sure that you fuel filter is in good conditions, if it got some age, put a new one.
