Title: Inner TCA Bushes
Post by: JoeH on December 17, 2012, 09:10:42 AM
Hi,

Just after any opinions and experiences on uprated inner TCA bushes, as G40 rose jointed ones are hard to find, do you guys replace with any of these:

http://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-details/Front+Wishbone+Inner+Bush/474.html

I'd may be fitting them with a Glader kit (outers and ARB), and stage 2 sub-frame.

This link suggests inners are bad:

'don't get their inners because they're one-piece with an unusual tapered cotton reel design, and don't take well to the TCA being pulled forward by the ARB blocks.'

If you don't uprate with polybush, would you just put a standard non-rose joint as the inner?

Joe

powerflex bushes are ok as long as you coat them in the copper grease they come with before fitting so they don't bind and rip.

Can't comment on the others because I've never used them but to be honest, I don't believe anything I read on clubpolo, far too many armchair experts on there.  You'll have to make your own mind up of course :)

I'd either go with a stock rubber, or a nylon bush- the powerflex ones have broken a few times on Andy's car, and I've ripped a set of superflex ones.

Few people on CP seem to have had problems due to bad installation- to be fair to Powerflex they did send Andy a new set when he told them, and both our cars are running quite a lot of power with sticker than normal road tyres.

I've got some Powerflex ones if you want to try them, £10 - PM me, I'd not use them on my car as I've got Nylon ones.

Cheers

Pete

Ah- apologies, didn't see 'inner' to clarify ours are for the TCA/ARB link.

Inner ones I use a rose joint to give camber adjustment.

Sorry i'm a bit lost, whats the group buy for:
an Adjustable tca?
or
Inner tca bush?

What type of bush - Nylon...

' it is supplied with a standard rubber OEM bush- we highly recommend a nylon replacement (which we can supply separately). '

Any Pics?

Can they fit a normal tca?
