Title: Breaking my conversion. Toothies, intercooler, charger, interior, door pods etc
Post by: samg40 on December 09, 2012, 05:35:49 PM
Hi all,

I am currently in the process of braking my G conversion. I am keeping the engine but do have a few engine related parts for sale. All prices are without postage, collection from Rotherham/Sheffield. Most stuff is available straight away but I would like to keep it on its wheels until the very last minute so it doesn't look a mess on the driveway. I'm hoping weather dependent to get rid of it by the new year though so everything should be available pretty quickly.

First of the shell, it has cracks in one of the chassis legs and all the panels are pretty knackered so nothing much of any use but all glass is available and if there is anthing not mentioned that you want then give me a shout.

H&R kit, including front legs with bearings and nearly new top mounts. £250
G40/GT rear axle with ARB, includes brake/bearings, ready to fit. £50
256mm VW brakes. Including discs but I think the pads are knackered. £150
G-laderseite arb blocks. Sold.
Toothed belt pulleys. Phase 1 kit includes a used belt and two new belts. Sold
Scirrocco GT11 seats including rear bench. These are in really good condition, came from a low mileage car, they could maybe do with a bit of a clean. Sold
Audioscape door pods, these dont come up for sale that often. Could do with a bit of tidying, includes speakers, cant remember what make they are. £100
Lader. Needs a rebuild and there are some what can only be described as gouges on the scroll where someone has prised the seals out in the past. Pete has provided me with some different seal types for these which have held nicely even with track abuse, good condition other than that. £100
Glader collar for induction kit. £20
Jabbasport heatshield collar, I'll include a K&N filter with it which is a bit manly. £30
G40 injectors. Cleaned and tested by PPP about 20k ago. Sold
Standard intercooler, needs a clean but no leaks. Sold
Standard G40 exhaust manifold, good condition. £20
Rear clusters, have been tinted to be all reds at some point, I think this has faded a bit, slight crack in one. £15
Polo GT badges. As pictured. £20
Badgeless grill, some clips broken but holds on ok. £10
Front bumper without foglight holes, red stripe, VW part. £20
Rear bumper. £20
Powerflow exhaust, standard G40 bore, not loud but looks pretty manky. Sold
G40 clocks, all in working order, showing around 129k. £40
Full lock set including ignition, door locks, boot and fuel cap. £20
JBL 2 channel amp. £30

Not brilliant. They arent rusty but they aren't in amazing condition. There is a bad picture of the passenger one below.

Pictures of brakes and exhaust. The last picture shows some damage from where it dragged on the floor when the rubbers snapped. It is all solid though.
