Title: installing Manifold + sportcat
Post by: Jacque on September 04, 2012, 09:56:37 AM
Hi,

I recently bought a Manifold + welded on sportkat from Roetelle racing. (it has the saving at the charger, so it will fitt)

For installing, will it take much time? i m going to take a look at it this weekend, but i by suppose asking here, i could make more of a planning as it will be busy  :) do you need to remove the charger? or just loosen it?   i guess it will be working from the bottom up?

any advice is welcome!

Grtz

Manifold will defiantly need the charger off. Its a lot easier and i have only ever done it like that, but someone on here might say something different?

the original manifold needs the engine mount off which is normally charger/alternator off and engine jacked up.

Be careful with the studs on the head - they can snap/round if you are not careful/lucky.

ok that's a bummer :) you mean: to remove the original manifold i will need to remove the engine mount? and to do that remove charger & alt?

indeed fingers crossed, WD40 would help?

correct yes - use PlusGas instead of wd40 - much better!

And start soaking it with plusgas/WD40/GT85 now!!! Apply every day if you can, any little help as those studs can be a pain!!!
