Ive been buying thermostat cover after thermostat cover! i cant for the life of me get one anywhere that fits! this is my thermostat housing, its a alloy golf item, i belive its a small block item? ive bought 3 elbows now for the front and all have been too big, i belive they are the 16v/big block items.
If anyone has one please could they let me know!

can you not use just a normal polo one?
Its too big mate, holes dont line up. Trust me, ive tried haha. bought a ''mk1 golf thermostat, also fits mk2 GTI'' off ebay, didnt fit its too big so i think its different for a big block, bigger so more water flow.... tried a i belive early polo item phataz1 gave me and it fits spec wise bar the dick on it for the hose is either facing upwards or is touching the exhaust manifold.....
EDIT: if you are meaning the thermostat housing Dan, then yes and no. Im not running 3 of the outlets i need on that so i'd rather bot run loads of blanks and be left with hot spots if i can help it :-)
yeah i mean the thermo housing, which 3 outlets are you not running? blanking them off i can not see causing you any hot spots or issues

Plus, tidied engine bay so blanked off outletslooks scruffy and need to buy new polo water pipes ;-) No can do bowssssss! ;)
Anyway, stop spamming in here haha, you got a thermostat or what :-P
well i dont think there is anything off the shelf to do what you want.
If vw can not get the item then it is unuseable surely?
does it have a part number on it?
Im after a thermostat housing cover that came from FACTORY for this thermostat housing, its not rocket science.
How can it have a part number when i dont have it. i need one!

the part number of the bit you have a picture of, can you not reference that, go on etka, find the matching part, order from VW?
or even so if you know the car it came off why have you not done the above?

Theres no part number on the bit i have, i dont have etka and i dont know the car it came off bar its a mk1 golf.

or maybe ring vw, explain the engine, get them to check etka, get them to order part
