Chaps
Good day out, thanks for organising it Pete.
Spent most of the morning around Yoof's car as it developed a diff leak!
I got 147bhp which was down on last time (150bhp) with the only difference being that the engine is 1341'd this time although having done only 300miles since the rebuild its most probably still tight and needs running in a little more.
Although it was down on ponies it was up on torques by a good 5-6lb/ft from 3500rpm right up to the redline.
This time

Last time

Got the following things to do to the engine so i am hoping for around 170bhp at the end of it all:
FMIC
4 Branch
Stainless Full Exhaust
Aquamist
1341cc high lift cam
Big Valve head
what mods you running at the moment?
Sorry to hear Pete's car has issues. Do you think it was wise to put your car on the rollers with only 300 miles on it ?! I would have given it well over 1k personally.
Mine got 175 bhp and 158 lbft torque, reasonably happy with that.
yeah was a great day, shame it took me so long to get there, and shame i got a pathetic 128bhp, confirmed my thoughts that i have a fueling issue, it was smelling heavily of fuel on the rollers.
My fuel consumption is great tho, so i think it is either a leaking injector, or 1 or more injectors not spraying correctly, and causing unburnt fuel to be leaking through, and causing the smell
but its all good fun!
A great show of cars and people, and i know all you guys will be drunk and having a great time now, i really am gunna sack off a night work just to join in
good to see some old faces
top day, and not that cold till later on!!!
Jake my mods so far are:
1341 bottom end
1341cc map
250cc injectors
GT inlet
Toothies
Full Blend
Dan i thought about giving it a more of a run in but it won't do any harm in giving it some beans so early on, i have known engines being given death from 0 miles and they are still running sweet.
Pete's car did get fixed and ran 203bhp without NOS and then 232bhp with NOS and that also included having me, Andy and Pete standing on the sills to stop the car from wheel spinning!
137bhp which is more than i expected but ALOT less than i was told it had! lol. I have afew probs to deal with too and she played up on the M6 in the roadworks, jerking about in 5th gear at 50mph (probably water related!) Half a can of WD40 sprayed over the engine and alls good.
Good to meet all you guys. I'd have brought that cam Robin if i remembered. Like the G60 greens i have sat in my door pocket!!!!
Sounds like a good day. You did have some good weather! Dan you might want to find out where you are going before you set off next time! :P
Pity I missed it but I'm still feeling crap now, but probably not as bad as those lot who went out last night.
you still shitting liquids?
i knew exactly where i was going, i remembered the route, it just took so bloody long, no idea why!
maybe it was the speed restrictor i had in the passenger seat lol
haha Dan, speed restrictor!!!
My other halfs so used to how I drive, she wants a G now!
She spent most the day asleep in the car!!!
Good to see so many new faces- and the odd flame from a tailpipe or two (jon :))
Thanks to Robin, Andy & Haysey who helped me stick my output flange back in the gearbox (again!)
Was happy with my result, finally cracked 200bhp with a k03 turbo, and my aquapiss wasn't working. More refinement to be done to the engine yet too.
Robin- The peak torque is only up 5lbft, but up massively over the rev range, will be alot quicker car as a result. Power will rise as more miles are done (and mods) we'll have to do a full set-up on it soon and try some different maps out.
great day and a great night out. I feel seriously ill today though and I think I've done actual damage to my ears. All good though 8)
A great turn out really, especially considering we were a bit worried if enough would turn up.
cheers to yoof for driving me about in his car all weekend!
BAAAAAARP POP BAAAAAAAARP POP FLAME lol.
Sorry, did i forget to warn everyone it did that? Hats off to you Yoofy for fixing your car yet again and managing to miss my rear end on that roundabout!! Don't think all those people waiting liked us hogging it though! lol.

Hahaha - my ears are still killing too!
Thanks to toot toot Pete for organising it all - the guys at Aldon were great as always. Pleased with my 165bhp from 14psi, just need to do some more mapping work and get my 21psi calibration done to compete with Yoofy.
yeah cheers to pete for sorting it out, making all the nice forms and getting there mega early etc...
yeah, cheers Pete. Nice friendly atmospehere too. Everyone talking to everyone else and having a laugh - more than could say for cp at times!
Sounds like everyone had a good time. If you do another one next year, i would love to come along.
Does anyone have all the results in a table for all to see?
