i think if your car spends most of the time on the road you are best of with shocks and springs as you will get better dampers and springs for you're money top two combs in my opinion are eibachs springs and bilstien shocks or eibach springs and koni shocks.

gaz coilovers are good if you want advisability on a sub 1k budget but expect to do some spring and damper rate tuning to suit you're application.

if you want the best coilovers either h and r or sorg  Motorsport with of which use bilstien inserts. This again is my opinion.never driven a car with the sorgs but i used to have h and r and they where amazing but they where ultra lows and too low for road use in my opinion.

final option if you're good at fabrication is too buy a coilovers fabrication kit from rally designs. cut you're steering arms of and lower them then reweld, along with welding threaded sleeves on. buy what ever inserts you want (bilstien are some of the best again or koni) then select some springs and you've got yourself coilovers for half the cost bit double the effort.

best suspension has been covered on here a couple of times try having a search aswell.

I have the Phil J ones I think they are Ta Tenik or something, ride quality is ok but the springs are a little soft for me as they roll a fair amount. Good for the money though

etches - yours coilovers?

Agree with antony there, i was gonna get the bistein B10 kit it think (eibach springs and bilstein dampers) but mine dont get driven on road as i plan for more track driving so got coilovers.

I got some ta technik ones as well. Putting them on soon. You reckon they roll too much still? Might sell them and get some other ones then.

They just arn't as stiff as I'd like James, I had Phil J 60/60 on my last G and that was a good set up tbh. Not bad for the money though.
