I sold one recently for £100.  The one currently in my black polo cost me £50 but it had an unknown history and I re-ringed and honed it.

Cheers fellas,

I was gonna say around the £170 mark but it seems it gonna be a bit cheaper than what I expected.

the one I sold didn't have an oil pump though, might be worth a bit more if it has a good oil pump on it

Another quick question with regards to the gearbox, are there any markings on them to tell me what they are, If so could any one tell me where to find such markings before I start rolling around on a wet floor.

Cheers

The number under the water outlet reads 8DDH04095 and underneath that says 0892. Does this ring any bells?

The 0892 is your date stamp so august 1992, the letters are your gearbox code the rest of the numbers are insignificant, i think the ddh box is a 1.4 8v box out of a 6n polo and seat cordoba  irrc
