Title: Cup Car Box- LSD Inside
Post by: Yoof on July 16, 2012, 06:57:05 PM
ATV Cup Car box, I need to measure pre-load on the diff tomorrow.

I believe this is ex-JBM/ Frode box so possibly they can shed more light on it's history. Selects all gears fine, and seems to clunk less than my gripper (annoyingly!).

I'd like £650 (basically £400 for an LSD installed and ready to go).

If this is going to be transported by me I will drain the box oil (can save this if you want)

Cheers

Pete

Collection Jct 12 M40 or BVF this coming weekend.

Yup, this was very low I think due to non-diff oil being used at some point.

Normally cup car diffs ran between 80-110lbft I believe, I run about 90lbft on mine.

you need the diff out of the box to check it really.  I think I might have put the procedure I use in one of my posts in the transmission faq section
