how do i go about gettin more noise out of my standard charger
few pebbles in the inlet will do it
more noise?!?
Turn your hearing aid UP !!!
like to the above comments :)
if its still the v-belts tight ten charger belts to correct tension and use belt grip spray grease stuff of get a set of teethed pullies and belt but this reduces service life
dont really want to do much to the engine as its completly standard and sort of want to keep it original thanks for the help buddy
infact losen a few bolts securing it that will cause vibrations and make quite a racket too
cheers for that very helpful now
Most folk want a nice quiet charger mate. Get rid of the standard filter and fit a cone filter. Eventually you'll throw away your pointless sound system which you won't be able to hear and you and your mates will have to learn sign language, but it will make the noise you want.
You'll probably need to get your charger serviced more often as most cone filters aren't as good at filtering the air as the standard paper filter.
thanks for that mate il give it a try see what its like can always go back to the standard version if i wish. thanks again
the best induction type kit is the jabba sport one as it has a heat shield too

Try Jabba Sport maybe

Yes
Are you sure about that? I thought they had a bigger inlet.
the r1 charger has an enlarged casing inlet, which matches the collar of the induction kit.
It'll fit a normal charger but just wont be port matched.
so what problem do i have fittin r1 induction kit to the standard charger is it possible to do or will i have to upgrade the charger aswell cheers
no it'll fit fine
will it cause any problems not bein port matched
not at all, just take in less air than ti would if it was.
would it lose any power this way not takin in as much air not bein port matched or would i be better to stick to standard air filter
no power loss.
if anything you'd still get a power gain
thats good then cheers. if any1 else has some more helpful advice it would be great thanks
