just bought a g with a r1 charger and toothed belt how can i make it quickier
Drop it off a cliff??? Should improve its 0-60, but its a limited effect, one hit wonder!!!
Depends on what you want you want to do, how handy you are with spanners, daily or not and how deep are your pockets.
Search function is useful too ;)
im good with spanners being a mechanic i have a clio 182 which is my daily driver but this will be aswell and then neither willl be used in winter and also got a jeep money is not to bad but dont want to spend 1000s
next steps would be
big throttle body, gt inlet manifold, front mount intercooler, quaife diff, remap
Nah! PPP subframe and big brakes.
what brakes can i put on there as they are rubbish
Just take a browse through posts in the chassis/braking section. Plenty of advice and several options. 256mm 270mm set-ups available; definitely a first consideration if you don't want some poor bastard to have to hose you off the dashboard.
brake size does depend on wheel size!!
On my g40 i have 239 20mm standard g40 calipers with some race pads and drilled and groved discs my mate has standard 1.1 little 239 10mm calipers with brand new standard 239 10mm discs and new standard pads and his 1little is a g40 conversion running 160bhp im running a little more and his polo brakes better than mine funny that my brakes are shit and his are really good.
Sounds like you may have a fairly powerful g40 r1 spec charger being the most ported charger available and you have tooth belts so your getting max boost (no belt slip) i doubt you could gain much more power but im not saying there are not more gains to be made just you have done the biggest power upgrades all ready.
Other big upgrade options to consider are G60 charger or m45 charger but seen people have a lot of issues with the m45 charger getting it to run well or maybe a turbo setup most popular at the moment!
A good remap by ppp will also help gain a few horses
Before you get any more power sort the handling a little a ppp stage 3 subframe has very good reviews from the people who run them saying massive improvement in the handling and then a new diff to help get that power down and replace/upgrade any worn suspension components too.
Get down the gym ;)
