Hi there, i've recently purchased a set of schmidt th-lines 14x8 with ET16 (i think - need to check) for my polo GT, i have to use a 3mm spacer on the front to clear my calipers, as i have mk4 golf edition 30 disks, i'm going to put a 5mm spacer on the back for a bit of stance. However, i was wondering the best way to extend my arches out as they have a bit of poke and don't want to be getting pulled over :S
i have the plastic arches and wasn't sure the best way to get the arches out further, but still keep the plastic arches?
here's a picture so you have an idea (no spacers on the back here):

well you're not really going to be able to make the standard plastic arches stick out any further. You can try pulling the arches out a bit I guess, not sure how well that'd work.
Another option is to get some mk1 golf arches which are bigger but they're not a direct fit, some chopping and messing about will be required to get them on.
or go all out rocking 5 degree's of camber on front and more up back...
sure there was a awhite polo i seen with g60 arches... looked pretty cool but didnt look neat around the front bumper !
yeah there is but there's significantly more work to get them to fit than mk1 golf arches. mk2 golf arches are a bigger diameter so you need to start cutting metal out of the polo and welding the arches back up to end up with a larger diameter arch, otherwise they'd just look ridiculous with the smaller polo arch visible inside the bigger mk2 golf arch.
I've got some Mk1 Golf GTi arches which you could use, I was going to do the same thing before I went for the full Berg Cup kit!
£40 if you want em?
ah! information i never knew.
is there anyones car i can look up to see pics of mk1 arches?
If michael doesnt take these mr strange i will :D
Is it a big job to get the mk1 arches on? Cause might take those :) depending hah, obviously blown a lot of money on the wheels haha, worth it though

From what Chuck said (camone) it wasn't a big job.
I bought em for £40 so just looking to get my money back, I've not taken them out the box they came in! :-[
Is that mk1 golf ones in that picture? And sounds fair hah where are you?
