Title: Oil Coolers...how big is yours?
Post by: gofasterpinch on April 15, 2012, 10:32:17 PM
Just doing some shopping for the project and need to acquire an oil cooler.

I'm running a fairly tweaked AFH on bodies and other bits.

i was thinking of either a 10 or 13 row, 235mm wide to sit next to the rad, where the stock intercooler would be on a G40.

does this sound suitable?

do either of you have a gauge fitted and know what kind of oil temps you're getting with them?

13 row, 235mm. Temp. measured at the sump, never gets above 120* with a turbo.

Same, except I got mine to 135°C on track. Radiator is still stock CL though and I'd got the water temps so high the water overtemp buzzer was coming on.

ah that's good, considering you guys with the turbo applications should be seeing higher oil temps a 13 row should be ideal for mine.

is a 235 the right width to fit in that gap?
