Nah- Vince loads cars up just off idle... which is pointless and far from ideal for a modified G40. Hence Club G40 haven't been back!

Though to be fair, in the case of my car it was 9.3:1 compression and the map PSD had given me to run in it had extremely aggressive ignition timing. Stock ignition map would've worked fine.

If Steve Pitt's alledged "stocker" makes 136 horses, what does that make Steve Pitt, the accuracy of the rollers or VW's quoted 113horses ? LOL!  Pity the only other stock set-up didn't make it onto the roller`s.

It was an ex cup cup  , those sort of figures are common for a "standard" car.

I'm trying to think if that was the last time I drove the car.

To think I took it off the road and got a passat tdi because I was working further away and it was costing me too much in petrol, how much was petrol back then compared to now?

At least me, James Bartley and Neil still have the same cars and I think that Barney, Stu and Duncan still have theirs too.

also, most things seem to make suspiciously high figures on Stealth's rollers, another reason we've not been since.

I still have the same car I had back then, I went to that day with Paul Borthwick, I can't remember why I didnt take my own car now.

Haha, Richie K's G40-G60 made that power on my stock ish G60 G-lader.  If only he hadn't blown his super ported one to bits, he'd be over 200bhp (On vince's optimistic RR).

Always had 168bhp in my head for what mine made, not 176, still at 6600rpm though  :( What a crap torque figure too!  :(

Oh well, never mind.   :D ;D

Ah... My old Mk.1 Polo got a mention  :)

That engine still lives on in a Mk.3 but sadly the car is dead  :(

This doesn't feel like 8 years ago! Mine is indeed still owned by me - but I need to sell her over the coming months.
I'll post an ad soon with pics and details, but if anyone wants any info now please PM me

Thanks

Barney
