Title: Belt Length for Bar-Tek Toothies? Ans = 1000 8M
Post by: G40 AD on March 11, 2012, 08:46:13 AM
Hi is anyone aware of the correct belt length for Bar-Tek Toothies with a 65mm charger pulley? Cant make it out from their website and €40+ for a belt is ridiculous can get them in the uk much cheaper just not sure of the length required!!

Cheers

PSD kits used 8mm pitch and operate on anything between 1000 and 1040mm belt length. If Bar-Tek use the same pitch then anything between those sizes will be OK ie 1008, 1016,1024,1032. If you've got a stock charger to intercooler pipe then it'll probably be nearer 1000 than 1040 which needs a longer pipe. Just as important as length is tooth profile. If you don't have an old belt, take a pulley to your nearest bearing /belt suppliers to get a correct match. £20 is more like the price.

Cheers Jon... yeah its a 1000m 8 that I need... think my PSD mani is phase 1 so guessing the 1000 should be fine but we'l see...

Anyone used Bearing Boys before sounds a touch homosexual but the prices are right!!

I think I got a bearing boys one that was square tooth once, if they are round toothed I get these ones:
