Have you got the fuel pump & lines up for grabs? Don't necessarily need the lines, just a healthy pump and connection to tank really.

Ross.

I have an 8p box on the g40 atm thats now going on my 6n estate as i buggered mine.

I have an atv box that will need a rebuild does not work but has no broken casing and it stopped working on me doing like 10mph as i pulled in to a road then lost drive and had a bit of a knocking noise from the gearbox so dipped the clutch and rolled in to a car park and that was that.

That would be great, thanks.

**UPDATE ON ABOVE**

Just seen CAMONE's ad for a pump set and got in first from what I can see, so I should be ok on that score now. Thanks anyway.

Ross.

Whats the loom like?

Any pictures of it?

Cheers

Title: Re: G40 Engine Conversion Breaking
Post by: cheddarcheese on April 15, 2012, 01:46:11 AM
it was never a full conversion to start with but this is whats available

PY G40 engine block, head, cam, rocker cover, complete bottom end, Dizzy. 95k £500
G40 inlet manifold £40
G40 throttle body £70
G40 injectors and fuel rail £40
G40 loom with new loom tape £100
G40 exhaust manifold with snapped stud/bolt £offers
G40 plastic boost pipe and hoses £offers
G40 dials £40
Engine Oil Cooler and sandwich plate £75
PSD Full Blend G40 charger needs full rebuild £200

missing ecu, gearbox, co pot sender, blue and black water temp senser, spark plugs,ht leads, supercharger belts most of the parts are serviceable parts and available new accept the ecu and gearbox give me an offer if your interested?

It will cost about 300quid more to make a full conversion and then get a fresh supercharger rebuild and you will have one very solid motor i would rather not sell and just store the engine but could do with the money but im in no rush to sell i paid 1300 for this conversion back 4/5 years ago from an older guy who was building a 1400cc motor back when psd was still running.

im still kind of new to all this supercharger melarky. Iv got a jabba stage 2 charger on mine. Would your charger be a good upgrade to mine or would there not be a great difference between the two.  mine is in need of a refurb so i could get this and refurb it and just swap it over with mine. Also i presume i would need a new chip to suit it too.

Sorry to ask a stupid question but its the only way im going to learn.

Stage 2 to full blend will be a nice upgrade IMO.  If you've already had a remap it will probably be ok, depends what pulley you use I suppose.
Title: Re: G40 Engine Conversion Breaking
Post by: gavin.starr on April 17, 2012, 10:45:38 PM
how much of an upgrade would you think it may give.

We could do with a list from standard up to whatever the chargers go up to. so you can see where your at and what you could be at if you know what i mean.
Title: Re: G40 Engine Conversion Breaking
Post by: djtez on April 17, 2012, 10:55:49 PM
i'd say stage 2 is basically a standard charger..

full blend (stage 5) or R1 spec is all what the tuners recommend is most porting you can go safely!

words from jabba..

it would be a massive difference and capable of hitting 14psi with a 65mm pulley (about double from standard i believe)

Are all the parts for the service of the charger available, I.e Im not going to have to get some specialist bits for it. Is it just a case of new seals etc.. or is it new bearings etc...

Im just trying to get an idea of overall cost of buying this and getting the service done, over sending mine away to get the work carried out to the same spec.
