Title: PPP in PVW
Post by: Etches on January 15, 2012, 06:21:05 PM
A 2 page spread about PPP's stage 3 frame in the jan PVW I think, the one with the orange audi on the front. Its good advertising for PPP and this site! Its in the producers rides bit, about putting a stage 3 frame on a mk1 polo.

They ran a feature in Retro Cars the other month, didn't realise it was mirrored in PVW too. Is it in the current issue?

Ah yes. Good work - and I hear it's the last time that Polo's going in as a staff car too. About time they had a G40 among the staff projects, really. Dontchathink? ;)

G40 needs a frame though Alex  :P

Once Andy's had his painted, and I've finished mine (about Easter I think) will give you a shout  :)

We're currently working on our next subframe development- and putting the camber adjustable tca into production for 2012.

Granny green again. Won't be getting any body mods (other than some stitch welding), just rust treatment and a refresh. If that's all it needs every 20 years then I reckon that's pretty good going.

Great, i'd have been gutted if you would have gone away from that colour. It adds to the sleeper profile of the car!

Here a photo ive taken, you can zoom in to read the txt

Cool - picked up a copy of PVW yesterday in Tesco. Looks good!

I need to give you a shout about fannymoulds too. Brassic after moving house and all my 'spare' cash is going into a supercharger rebuild, so can't afford anything until March/April anyway.

John Haycock?  It doesn't say he even works for PPP, he is has own company.  He is a supplier for PPP.

hmm, seems to clearly say he is from Haycock Motorsport and made the subframe on behalf of PPP to me but never mind.

Sorry it's the way I've written that,
No I meant that it's talking about him (a supplier of PPP) not PPP " this is our product" seem's to be a strange angle the piece is written ???

It's from a slightly skewed angle- the chap went to Haycock Motorsports to have it fitted/setup, so we never spoke to him directly. We own the jig vehicle and have developed various parts on both our cars over the years with John, and have a good relationship. Sometimes we struggle with holding stock as it's a small pofit margin with a large component price- so we can't justify investing thousands in stock just to sit there.

Alex- Exhausts we'll be doing very much a group buy basis now I've moved 150miles from the supplier, no longer a 20min drive down the road to pick the odd manifold up! But I'm sure we can sort somthing out  :)

PVW have a long relationship with John Haycock (who here remembers project buzz box?) and have gone to John for many a creation, John also created the subframe on Andy Boakes Cup Car first, so wouldn't surprise me that PVW would get confused about certain facts about who does what etc.
