an R1 spec G-Lader won't make a huge difference, but don't read that as no difference. Eaton can push HUGE power, but they are hell to get setup and working as well as the G-Lader or a turbo setup.

An Eaton will get you there with more sound and potentially power., but the R1 is bolt on, run some toothed pulleys for a different sound and a little extra juice. Eaton conversions from what I have seen are always big hassle and take ages to get running right, if you love tinkering and making things work it might be your thing.

Only good thing about an eaton charger is you dont have to spray the grease for boost mod into it, less maintenance and the blades are teflon i think.

But i hate the sound of the eaton charger. Sounds like a gay police car.

Ah do they sound that bad then my r1 is noisy but I think it's the toothed pulleys and they sound kool

eaton sounds totally different, personally I hate the sound of them and I think I'd end up wanting to set fire to the car after a long motorway journey with that awful air-raid siren screaming noise all the time!

What eaton charger is it?  Assuming an M45 then it'll make more maximum boost than a G40 G-Lader will.

I have ano eaton charger and can safely say the are a pig to set up and they are really noisy but i love it i love the noise it makes and most of all i love the power i get from it i run the smaller of the 2 toothed pullys that psd made 24 tooth i think it is and the power is unreal my car now scares the crap out of me and i love every minuite off it but if you dont want to be looked at everywhere you go the eaton is not the charger for you lol

My Eaton conversion took just minor to none setup and I went up to 143hp (standard engine) and I really love the sound of an eaton despite the comments I have heard from time to time (cat under the bonnet, firetruck, electric screwdriver). I even miss it now that my G40 is broken (chassis broken, not engine), I miss the torque pull out from 2500rpm too!  :'(

Doubt you need smaller pulleys for the eaton. I am running 1,2 to 1,3 bar with the crank and alternator pulleys out of the 6n polo and using a 5pk belt.

Kano has my old setup and tbh, i miss the psychotic blender noise and thats it. psd kits can be a swine due to bodges when they were made and i mustve spent  £150 on toothed belts! Wasnt so keen on power delivery either (more revs = more power) and im alot happier with the K03 setup i have now.
