Title: What power should i have.
Post by: Gugge on November 27, 2011, 12:53:38 PM
Hi people.
i just bought a polo g40.
It delivers 0.8 bar, has a bartek stage 2 kit. 4-2-1 header, 2" from header to a normal rear silencer(modified).

This kit

But on the dyno it delivers 92kw/123hp. 160nm. But should give 106kw/144hp?

Is there something wrong with the dyno? he said it could do wheelspin on it because of wheet tires.

I dont think that this kit is capable of 145hp. 135hp is more sense number for these modifications.
What's the condition of your engine and your supercharger?
With a 65mm pulley you can see a bit more boost

Thats 10hp more. The engine and charger should be okay. does use a bit of oil.
Maybe the 10hp is in the restrictive exhaust.

maybe the difference is porting on the charger - or mileage of the engine?

123bhp is a bit low for a g40 with a 65mm pulley on it.  I remember mine made 131bhp with nothing other than that modification. not even a chip or a fancy airfilter.

But you can get big differences in rolling roads and it could have been wheel spin as well.
