Title: Radtec Alloy Radiator - Group buy?
Post by: Robin on November 11, 2011, 05:04:12 PM
I have been in contact with Radtec who make ally rads for a variety of cars, they do one for the Polo Mk3:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westfield-VW-Polo-Alloy-Radtec-Universal-Radiator-/160678095687?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2569292b47

On ebay they have them for £276 + £20 postage.

I have asked them if they will do a group buy price and they are willing to do them for £252 inc vat and postage to individual addresses if there is an order for 5.

Is anyone interested?

Not sure.

We know that the quality of radtec is pretty much one of the best you can buy so I personally rather pay for something I know is top quality.

Put my name down for one please.
I got a Radtec intercooler on my Cossie and the quality and performance is spot on compared to my old Pace Products one.

forget it! std size would be fine!
However on the ££ side of things, I'm not going to be able to give a decision till after your cut of date so it will have to be a no for now.
Unless they can take a small deposit and wait till after pay day.

Also I have a non std fan, how do you attached a facet stlye fan to these, Ive brutally used cable ties through teh crappy std one I have but wouldnt fancy doing that. Guess I'll just need to make brackets.

Group has ended now as several people have dropped out so I can be bothered to waste my time.

Managed to get 3 radiators for the same price instead of having to buy 5.

???  ???
This only started on the 11th! This is only 10 days later!
I hardly think you've wasted you time if you've acheived your goal of getting a cheaper radiator regardless of other peoples involvement (or not)!

Regardless....Thanks for initially showing willing to help and making contact with Radtec and showing their willingness to discount.

I feel like i have wasted my time because several people said that they wanted one and then pm'd to tell me they were out because they have to spend their money on other things, my personal opinion is that you either want something or you don't, don't jump onto the group buy when you know that you want to spend the money on something else. This gives the wrong impression for the person organising the group buy especially when its going to be hard to get the full numbers anyway.

However if people want to add their name onto the order then please pm me and i will add you onto the order before they get sent out next week. Confusion hunter when would be have the funds to order a rad? I will ask if it possible for them to supply you a rad at the same price if you were to pay for a rad at a later date as a part of the same group buy.

Chris when does your sponsorship likely to come through?

To be fair Rocket, you asked who was interested - not who had the cash to give you tomorrow. Stop being a bellend.

Fair comment.

I have offered to add people onto the order to get them the same price and also offered to see of radtec of they are willing to hold the price for orders made a little later. If I was being a bellend then I would have replied saying I wasn't going to help anyone out.
