I'm selling my PSD big valve head, bought for my 1W project a coupler of years ago, but I'm in the process of selling all my project bits as I've got a baby on the way.
Collection from Alton in Hampshire.
£500 ovno.

What are the sizes of the valves, is it just the standard BVH with 31mm exhaust valves? (sorry its hard to read the tape measure in the photos)
Thank you.
- Justin.
they look like 33mm golf ones to me :)
It's mark Hunters old head Hayesey, bought it off Gregg a couple of years ago.

So does this mean its a 33mm exhaust valve then?

The inlet looks like its nearly 38ish mm, whats the standard inlet size?
I would have thought they were standard inlets

Yeah looking at it looks more like 36mm compared to the photo above
Would drop the price a good bit for a sale?
What kind of deal are you willing to come to agreement with then?
And has the head had any work done I.e porting?
I may be wrong but it looks like its been ported. The inlet looks a lot bigger. And the exhaust? Does that ever match the gasket?
The inlet valves are 36mm, the exhaust valves are 33mm.
Both inlet and exhaust have been ported.

Yep, it does.
Any idea how many miles this head has done since it was built?
I'll try and find out.

Head was new from PSD, has covered approx 2000 miles since then according to last owner who had it in a car.
Been stored indoors since removal from block.
what kind off increase will this bring rob?
well as a comparison, both Robin & myself got the final mapping done on our turbo conversion on the same rolling road on the same day. His car is standard head with 1341cc bottom end, mine is standard bottom end but BVH. Otherwise basically the same spec and boost.
As for peak power they were pretty much identical (although I would like to say, mine was 0.2bhp more :) ). For most of thr rev range, Robin's car actually made a bit more power than mine at lower revs (around 10bhp for most of the mid-range) as a result of the increased CR and cc's, however his then runs out of steam at higher RPM and the curve starts to flatten where as mine carries on increasing to match his power which is clearly a result of the heads. Both cars made 194bhp.
Cheers Hayesey
so a very good mod then to have a guess. well if you still have it rob when i get back from holland polo show ill have it :D plenty of standby money to come next month haha
