Title: Fuel pump cut off switch

Do the polo g40s have a standard fuel pump cut of switch if so where is it Thanks matt

They don't have a fuel pump cut off. The ECU drives the fuel pump power relay in response to pulses from the hall sender in the dizzy. If the engine stops the fuel pump will cut off. So if you have an accident and the fuel line is cut, the engine will stop and so will the fuel pump to prevent spraying fuel everywhere. If you are having problems with the fuel pump, listen for the ECU priming the pump for a second or so when you first turn the ignition on. It does this to get the pressure up; the pump doesn't run again until the engine is cranking. Problems may be fuel pump itself, the fuel pump relay, or the drive transistor in the ECU may have blown.

in a huge shunt i believe the hall sender is supposed to break cutting off spark and fuel.
