Title: Help please

I've put my 40 lump into another shell and there is no fuel going to the fuel rail.the two pipes going to the rail have no fuel in them So the car will not start any one have any ideas

does the fuel pump prime?

check the fuel pump relay and fuse. After that I'd be tracing the fault backwards, does the ECU give out 12v to tell the fuel pump to run? If not (from memory and what Pete said in another thread I just read) The hall sender on the distributor lets the ECU know the engine is turning so activates the relay to run the pump. Is the wiring damaged/cracked/ hard ? You may have a break in it somewhere.
