You need to get the bolts from vw mate. Im going to order some soon and i can get the cheaper from a friend who works for vw if you need?
They should still do the headgasket. I bought one 3 weeks ago and still got it. Want me to check my local vw?
I would personally get them all from vw as i like to keep genuine parts. They all come with warranty as well.
But im sure if money is a problem then GSF are fine. There are a lot of people that use the kits.
i would call euro car part and ask for a victor reinz head gasket kit not had one for a while but they are o.e even if you buy one from vw theres a chance it will be the same gaskets as i've bought them from both vw and euro before
pretty sure GSF is victor reinz.
Gsf use erling gaskets, but be careful even if you specify erling you can sometimes end up with what ever crap they could get cheapest at that time if you order mail order
Yeah the VW one is Victor Reinz.
I got one about a year ago, at that stage the repair kit (ie head set) was NLA but the individual gaskets were. Did you give a part number for the head gasket or just ask? The reason I as is that I find if you give a part number they will check its availability while if you ask them to look something up they can just tell you its no longer available to save themselves some work ::)
parts are still available you really do just have to get lucky and find someone who can be arsed to look on the old vw system to find the part numbers
