Title: FPR fuel in the vacum pipe

HI, looking and trying to solve my whining pump problem, and descovered that the fuel pressor regulator is letting to pass fuel in to the vacum pipes. So can someone confirm that the fpr is fuc...up.

if its letting fuel into the vaccum side of the fpr then yes it would appear the diaphragm has fail inside and needs replacing but i wouldnt of thought that would give u a whining pump. it might b that the pump is on the way out.

Can i use an ajustable frp to replace it, adjusting it to the 3.0 bar as the original one?
Because here in portugal in vw dealer they are asking for 110 plus vat for one and i cant
find it anywhere else...

they shouldnt be that hard to find 2nd hand. the one from a GT (engine code 3F) is the same
