Title: Quick Q about pistons.
Post by: Jezza-7 on June 11, 2011, 06:11:19 PM
Im looking at buying some wossner forged pistons from USA as i can get them posted for £374 to the UK.

Now in the description it says, price includes rings, wrist pins, clips and low friction skirt coating.

Are wrist pins the same as guedon pins?

There is a bloke i buy parts for my supra over in japan.

he wraps things in birthday paper and puts happy birthday on the deliver card to over come the import taxes  ;D

You could ask them to give that a try?

yer - the import taxes will put it up a bit - but i only paid £106 on some $600 mason tech rear airride struts.

oh and if you get caught doing that you lose your stuff and get fined. and a lot of companies wont do it as they will get done if its caught.
best way to do that is to have them shipped to a reletive - who then will post them back to you. a guy i work withs mum lives in the USA and he buys loads of stuff before he goes on holiday and has it delivered to her beforehand - then brings it home in his case

can you not find a supplier of accrilite(spelling?) pistons ? surely the 9:1 compression ratio will make a much more drivable car?
