Hi guys and galls I'm in need of electric windows I know vw did it as a optional extra by they discounted them 5 years ago does any one have a set for sale ??? Thanks

can still buy the motors and stuff for in the door from electric life. (£60 a side)

but the switch and wiring you are on your own interms of new stuff.

The only set i have ever seen are in my car so you may strugle to get hold of a proper set these days

Electric life quoted me £82.50ea in January, not sure about VAT though...?

apparently early front window mechs from 5 door golf fit.

Electric life list the same part number for the mechs for early mk2 golf and mk2/3 polo. Kit part number is different, the golf kit comes with OEM style switches but the polo kit has universal switches.
The electric life kit I have has different mechs to those shown on the website, they look a bit cheapo.

genesisGT is the one to thank for this link, posted a couple of weeks ago on Club Polo.

It only seems to show the part numbers for the mechs, not kits, I guess you need to contact them. The ones shown look like the manual mech but with a motor in place of the winder, and look to be better than the ones I bought several years ago from VW. Still, at least mine came with the proper switches for next to the cig lighter.
