Title: Ignition problem

Rite I have the most random problem ever when I'm driving my polo every now an then my car cuts out the alarm goes dead as does the ignition and dash panel everything else stays on. I have no fuse problem my ignition simply dies and doesn't not come back on for hours any body have any ideas what the helps goin on I can't explain this problem in any more detail sorry all somebody please help many thanks

Is it an alarm and immobiliser?  I'd guess at it being that

Yea it's not a great one either it's a laserline

Check the switch on the back of the ignition barrel. I had one go just like this some years ago. Replaced the switch and all was good.

I used to have a similar problem, sometimes when indicating the ignition would go off and the engine wouldn't start. I reckon it was the laserline immobiliser.

What's the best way to test if it's the alarm or ignition switch at fault

hmm well you'll probably find that the immobiliser part is wired into a couple of the leads going into the ignition switch and it laughably easy to by pass so I'd try that and see if the issues go away.

Rite I've found the alarm cables how do I bypass some one plz help I'm desperate I need my 40 back lol

Dont bypass, find where it's wired into the loom, cut it out and repair the wiring.
