Post by: chris2911 on March 24, 2011, 06:00:33 PM
i got a py engine last year

why is the water rail at rear of engine diffrent to original engine.

original is push fit into rear of water pump and fixes to block

engine i purchesed water pipe  is  fixed direct to rear of water pump with m6 nuts and pipes are diffrent to header tank and 1 heater radiator pipe.

Most py blocks have the nuts, like a mk2 engine. Presumably they are both py code

i have a late 94 G40 and it uses a push type water pipe. weirdly enough my 1W engine has a bolt on pipe and i thought they didnt exist with a bolt type.

depends who was on shift when the casting was being done lol
