they are very similar to the cg motorsport ones.

you wont find a helix clutch new for less than £300. unless someone has one spare their selling.

Mine is a road plate and race cover.

I would spend the extra money and get a helix clutch mate. And i wouldnt buy a clutch off ebay unless it is a brand like helix, sach's etc.

I tried a normal clutch which lasted all but 6 months before it broke up.
I then bought a helix Clutch and am sorry to say it lasted 8000 miles before all the springs failed and I was stranded by the side of the road with not a single gear.
So I have bitten the bullet and bought one these clutches of ebay. So far it runs very well and very smooth. the springs on the pressure plate are huge, much bigger and stronger then the ones on my previous Helix clutch.
Yes I admit driving the car is hard work but then if I want a relaxed ride I get my VR6 out.
I will let you know how I get on but so far the service, delivery and part (most importnantly) hold up to the challenge. My engine is far from a standard 113bhp but I have to say (and might well regret it) this clutch puts a lot more BHP to the road then my previous helix clutch did.

No, I definately don't think so.
When it was delivered it was the first thing that sprung out when i look at it.

Not sure what you're doing to break a helix clutch but mine has withstood some serious abuse and keeps coming back for more!

Is it possible it was set up wrong? ie wrong springs for the application? I've no idea about performance clutches but if it's £300 it would be manufactured from high quality parts/ offer some choice on adjustability? Therefore if it's gone wrong that soon then perhaps it was just a bad'un? Warranty?
