It's the same bore AFAIK. From memory, according to ETKA there's only a bizarre joining pipe that's different between CL models and GT/G40. This pipe is near the engine bay. I'm pretty sure no-one has changed the fuel pipes for this reason though..? I've just used the existing pipes (originally a 1.3 SPI), no problems so far.

I've often wondered about this too, so when I was having random missfire issues borrowed Yoof's GT/G40 lines and measured them up. Couldn't find any significant differences, so am still running SPI fuel lines, albeit with a beefier fuel pump now. Don't have any issues - missfire was a dying hall sender...

mine has GT fuel lines too.  I'm also fairly sure that all the injection lines off mk3 polo are basically the same.  You only need to swap if putting an injection engine into a mk2 as they only have low pressure lines for carbs

GT are the same as G40 though Hayes - it's SPI/MPI where the differences are as Chris said. Either way, doesn't seem to make any difference - unlike fuel pumps!!!
