Title: Boost leak
Post by: matthg40 on March 12, 2011, 08:42:46 PM
Evening all I've recently put a front mount on my 40 an I had a boost leak I've located the leak and it's the spiral shaped boost hose that goes from the charger outlet to the intercooler it is majorly split.so I'm just wondering if anyone has a spare they would like to sell or if any one knows where I could get one thanks all I'm rather desperate as I don't have boost cheers all

It's not the prettiest option, but you can buy a metre of straight pipe from any commercial vehicle parts supplier for about £12 and that gives you three lengths. I've done about 3K on a chunk of it without it giving out.

45deg elbow usually does the job.  Original hose is obsolete

mate that pipe should stay on ideally  its to allow engine  movement when accelerating and decelerating.
i have a spare one that doesn't leak. The outside rubber is a bit cracked
but is still good to go, you
can have it for ten pounds
Plus postage mate
