Title: Distributor Motor..

  I have just got my G40's Distributor Motor replaced with a new 1, but for some reasons last 2 days my mechanic cant get her to start, need help does anyone know what i need to do here!!!!! ???

did you get a proper G40 one? they are specific.
and as always check for usual signs like no spark/no fuel

yeah it's the right part with the code and all, turn of a the key it sparks fuel pump works but the engine dont start up, i've totaly lost it, i am affaraid that im gona choke the engine if i carry on....:(

you have got the leads in the right order havent you?

yeah 2 machenics had a look at it thats all in right order...

Have they for any reason disconnected the two 3pin plugs next to the coil?  you can mix them up sometimes as they are interchangeable, right way - starts, wrong way - get nothing.

That or as simple as timing?

leads are 1342 from the front of the dizzy (9 o clock in an anticlockwise direction)

Just for reference, the GT dizzy is the same. Or if it isn't it's a strange coincedence that the 3 G40's I've had have been the same as the 3 or 4 GT's and all worked with no problems (all 91-92 models)

tryed all of that cant get her going..((   thanks for your help guys but when my original Distributor got
burned out, it may have burned a wire or maybe weaken her electrics up a bit....i've got a electrician coming
over to have a look today, hope he can tell me what's seams to be going on with her..... :-\

 ;D   problem found and solved,   just to let you all know that, if you ever end up
burning your Distributor, pay xtra £20 and get your Coil changed at same time..
damn coil stress me out for week..... :-[
