Title: R1 Charger Re-Build Tips Wanted
Post by: beatboxG40 on January 28, 2011, 03:52:35 PM
Hi guys, jus got my r1 charger back from jabba and fitted into my 40, i have a de wedged throttle body and a polished n ported gt inlet (head to follow when moneys not an issue), obviously i need to run in the charger before i give it some stick and i was wondering if the current standardized ecu is up for the job of just purely running in the charger before i take it to get set up and tuned, or will this be a bad idea for the engine, as the engine is breathing in betta now will this be a not so good idea or will the ecu make subtle changes to compensate for more air,

cheers

andy

it'll be fine in all cases really.  The ecu will adjust fuelling accordingly.  It just means you wont quite be making the same power as you could be with a decent remap.
