Please help,
I have had my beloved Polo G40 stolen during Wednesday night (19/01/2011) from the Stoke-on-Trent Staffordshire area. It had the reg K135 KNW, is white with the G40 badges on the front and rear with white Pirelli P Slot alloy wheels with MK5 centre caps. The windows were etched with the reg K1 STF.
It is all standard except for the cone air filter and wheels, the rocker cover and throttle is sprayed silver, it has pressed number plates with Wolfsburg surrounds. If any parts come up or the whole car is spotted please contact me on 07543 597295.
Many thanks
Bloodyhell another one! Sorry to hear that, have you got any pictures of it to put up?
I'll put this is the general section for a bit more exposure.
a standard mk3 was stolen yesterday too, its up on clubpolo.
really bad times, id be making sure everyones cars are alarmed, immobilsed and if in a shady place, unplug something and take it with to homebrew immobilse it.
my heart goes out to you guys who have your pride and joys knicked though. i just really hope this isnt some targeting operation
Second white one stolen? Someone needs white body parts or something?
They tried to steal mine a couple of years ago! No luck for those @ssh0les as my car was missing the clutch cable! ::) The thing to take out though and really mess them, is the gear link! 1 bold and no transmition for them to drive away, plus an 1 minute job
Bloody hell! This is looking a little too conincindental now. Staffordshire and Sheffied aren't too far away. Gang Related possibly, stolen to order? Some pretty mental scum about, who have no morals at all.
Got to be related, 99% of people would think its just another Polo.
Has the other guy got any details yet? i.e. has it been burnt out, parts turned up on forums? Who is this guy and when did his go missing?
Cheers guys
Where in Stoke was it stolen from? I live in Stoke and will keep and eye out for it, gutted for you that it's been nicked
I live in Smallthorne near Hanley, that would be much appreciated - also keep an eye out for parts for sale, I want to catch these thieving bastards.
Cheers Scott
Shit news. Although I live miles away still a concern that several have been taken and another was nearly taken.
Thinking out loud but if they were taken by 'joyriders' (love it.. makes me feel old!) the cars would have been ragged then dumped / burnt. So the remains would've been found by now.
It really does seem like they have been stolen for parts etc by an organised group.
But then if I was running a car theft ring I would focus on 'better' cars, more modern stuff that has better 'resale'.
Not properly thought out tho as where will they shift the parts on?
Here?????
Good luck!
Do you think the standard one was mistaken for a G?
Cant believe thats another one. Sorry to hear the bad news. Hope it gets found a returned.
Sorry to hear that, wankers need catching and dealing with
>:( :'( Not good at all. Im more or less in the middle between sheff and staffs :o
This is really bad news. I'd be surprised if these were being stolen to order or anything though really, I'd have thought such people would be after much higher value cars really.
I hope it turns up
Guys, here is some pictures of my Polo (without the badges that were added later). If anyone has any info please let me know.

Bastards! I really do hope something comes good out of this.
I'll relay the info to Polo3 ;)
Be worth putting something on pistonheads too, quite a wide variety of car fanatics, possibly put in the regional sections to highlight the issue to local owners.
gutted for anyone that has there car stolen, sounds dodgey being so close. pleased i live where i do nobody would travel this far and be far from easy to find mine too.
dont think it'll be too much of a planned thing as it'll be hard to sell the bits and there not worth that much anyway.
This is getting spooky.
tdhsyorks has someone try and nick his white g40... a week later someone successfully steals etches69's white g40... a week later another white g40 is nicked!
What the hell is going on!
Well I think everyone should be considering better security somehow at the moment, when left overnight. Say something, mechanical. Battery neg off. I know in the past, I was parked somewhere dodgy overnight, I was well nervous and panicky about leaving the car there that I removed my rotor arm from the dizzy.
I had the neg off on mine when it was stolen, do something which looks normal but its off like king lead

Now I wonder if that hints at something... i.e. just not a chancer nicking it, as he surely would have broken in, it won't start so time getting on would think, right leg it! A joyrider/chancer wouldn't hang around, popping the bonnet etc to work out why its not starting then do that, takes time. Ok, not too much time if just the battery neg lead, but it'll all count in terms of exposure. This has to be a syndicate or something targetting these cars.
sorry to hear about the theft of your beloved G40 >:( :( im in London so ill keep an eye out here but i think if someone is getting these G40s they properly gonna rob a bank or a drug dealer and use the car as a get away cos you know around town not alot of cars will catch them.
With the Registration recognition cams these days i`d say its very unlikely that they`ll be driven about.
I hope their Dicks fall off so they can`t reproduce.
Fred.
They don't reproduce Fred , they come out of arseholes.
This is bad, I am sorry to hear this dude, each time I leave mine im going to take summit off it, it's got alarm immobiliser anyway but I still want to be sure
Twats
Take the 30A fuse out of it's holder above the fuse box. That'll immobilise the fuel pump.
(not what I do, but I ain't telling you what that is ;) )
