Title: Helix Upgraded Organic Clutch
Post by: superchargedpolo on January 05, 2011, 04:30:04 PM
I have an upgraded Helix organic clutch plate and pressure plate for sale.
It hasn't even covered 500 miles in a car only putting out circa 140bhp, so is practically "as new" condition.  The only part that is missing from this "kit" is the release bearing which you can buy from VW if required.

I'm sure this cost me in excess of £200.
A must, for any car with high power outputs.

£115 plus postage.  No offers.  I even have the original box!

Please PM me.  Thanks

This was a bargin realy as hayesey says there worth about £300-350 brand new thesedays, I went for a cg 5 paddle in the end as robin had a organic sport fitted and I remember him saying it's started to slip now after some abuse, I know mines going to be harsh but plenty of people run them just take some getting used to plus I only drive my car at the weekends.
Cg motorsport said if I dnt like it they will sell me an organic friction plate to fit with my cover instead aswell. But just for the record my clutch didn't have luk on it I dnt think was slightly different from a normal genuine vag cover though as that's what my last clutch was. Got a picture of your cover Jezza?

i'm sure the CG ones are listed as £128 on their website - the fast road clutches.   And thats much more than they were a few years ago.

The fella on the phone said that the £128 was just a standard clutch. £191 for organic and i cant remember the price for the paddle.

I think i might call them to see what i got then.

looking at cg site

CGSKPP6535 - £228+postage = paddle i think, down as competition clutch, 40% increase over stock
CGSK6535 - £128+postage = organic i think, down on site as fast road clutch. 25% increase over stock
CGN6535 - £78+ postage = new stock clutch

when i rang them they tried to overcharge saying web price was old.  So i just put phone down and ordered online!

I'll dig my reciept out later and check but looks like me and James both got ripped of a bit then. They did seem to know what they where talking about atleast a couple of them did the woman o spoke to didn't have a clue though. If they keep putting there prices up then there will be no benifit of buying clutches there people will end up just paying a little extra and getting brand names, as lance says there greed will end ip loosing them buisness in the end shame realy.
