Title: Cooling/heater pipe fixture
Post by: Oily Fingers on January 03, 2011, 10:25:05 PM
Recently got a head for my eaton build and it came with a g40 bottom end with piston damge.  i happened to notice where the long metal heater pipe fixes to the block, at the back of the water pump, there are two threads studs for it to fix to, but on the block i am using for the eaton, there are no studs and no holes for studs to bolt into.

anyone know about this? is there a difference between early and late blocks??????

Aye, I'm not sure if it was definately an early/late difference...but some blocks have bolt fit water pipes and some have push fit. The push fit pipe also came in metal or plastic flavours. If it was an early/late difference then I think the bolt-ons were early and the push-fit later.
