Title: Fitting ppp exhuast
Post by: dub-disaster on December 29, 2010, 12:09:55 PM
I'm fitting a new ppp exhuast abd just wondering if anyone bothered fitting the braket for the exhuast hanger that goes on the starter motor there's no hanger on the exhuast for it but I cud put a stainless strap on it abd attach it to the hanger just wondered what others had done.

An old stainless system I had snapped the bracket around the weld at this point, so we didn't include it on ours.

With decent rubbers on the backbox and mid silencer you'll be fine  :)

I wasn't sure if they where needed but just worried about the wieght of the manifold turbo and downpipe all hanging on those exhuast studs.
I won't bother fitting now, just wanted to know before I fit the engine as it's a pain in the ass to get to the starter motor once it's In, thanks mate

It'll be reet. You'll want to make the rear exhaust hanger stronger though
