Title: shift rod adapter and bush

hello, i nee dto replace the shift rod bush, but dont know where i can get one from?!? any body please give me the part number from VW, or somwhere else i can get it from?!?

pics are in the haynes manual on page 7.3

any help would be greatly appreciated :) x

it is the round rubber bush that you can see from looking down in the engine bay! not in the pics of your topic. i have taken a pic from the manual on page 7.3 (2.16b) and it is bein emailed to me so i can upload it! but i hope you will know without the pic lol, Thanks mate x

you mean the rubber ball? I'm not sure you can buy that on it's own, I think you have to buy the whole metal part with the ball fitted.  You'll be able to find part codes and see what is available on vagcat.com

These are dealer only parts. Order one from your nearest VW dealer, you won't need a part number just describe it to them.

ebay - look for shift finger, bout a tenner, as saidabove its one piece

you have to register before you get access to the catalog part, doesn't cost anything though.

part number seems to be 191711233! and you will need the plastic ring that goes with it which seems to part number 191711209
