I have a list of parts and seals etc that im looking at buying for when my head goes on. The head has been skimmed and im going to stick with a VAG for all the parts, unless they dont have them or if there are any recomendations for other companys to use?
If there is anything i have missed out or you reckon its worth replacing while the heads off, please let me know.

Possibly this metal head gasket?

New valve guides perhaps?
I think they were replaced when the head was rebuilt/ ported/ big valved.
Is it worth getting this instead of vag head gasket?

My head has been skimmed once as well.
That's a decompression plate for lowering compression ratio, not a head gasket.
Ah...
I think i will just stay standard vag parts.
