Title: removing the pulley

can anyone give me some advice on how to remove the pulley from my charger as its dead and its time for a swap?

Airgun is probably the best, I've always used a pair of stilsons or a vice but be careful not to damage the pulley.

it just turns the pulley when i do that is it just notis there anything i can do to stop the pulley turning?

put an old belt around the pulley and clamp it. Then undo it.

you running tooth belt or v belts as if your on v belts and they are a little worn  you will mark the pulley
water pump pliers/stilsons with a iece of leather /rubber will work , used this technique many a time

got mine off with a cordless impact gun, worked ok, or nip the charger to a local garage and see if they will loosen it for you

Lock off the turning with stilsons or large chain whip filter remover.

toothies, i tend to use a chain whip with old belt on it to stop damage
