Post by: Jezza-7 on October 23, 2010, 10:06:26 AM
What rocker covers will fit on the G40?

Steel ones from some mk2s/3s, there are also a couple of alloy 6n ones that fit too. As long as they have the three bolts you should be right, however I think the bolts are specific to the cover but I'm not 100% on that.

6n ones fit with a 6n gasket too, I have that on mine.  An old photo but shows the rocker cover nicely:

it's the later 6n one without the big cut out for the throttle cable the earlier ones have.

Cheers hayesey, i have a 6n... but i need that as the g40 is going in dry storage. Local car breakers has a few mk4's

Do you need the mk4 bolts as well?

Fit 6n rocker cover with AAU/3F bolts?

no they're not the same.  AAU/3F have a steel rocker cover and the bolts are different.
