Title: G40 X 2 ??

hi all i was wondering the other day , when i got into my stupid ideas mood ! , wether anyone has ever done a twin engined G40 as this would equate to nearly 400 bhp per ton im seriously considering doing it ... any thoughts ?? zeeman.

The car will get a bit heavier due to the extra engine, but you only need 1 battery, alternator, radiator etc. I would put a supercharger on 1 engine and a turbo on the other just for the novelty value. Cut the front end out of one car (front suspension turrets, engine mounting rails etc.) and weld it inside another shell.

Unfortunately I think it's illegal for road use to have 2 engines that run independantly (but would be happy to be corrected on that).

My slightly simpler silly idea was to mount a second G40 charger on a single engine. This gives you a Polo running 'twin 40s'.

your biggest problem would be the gear linkage!

Did anyone see that g40 for sale on german ebay? It had a 2.1l turbo kompressor engine producing around 500ps (around 490hp)
