Title: Headgasket replacement OE or spurious
Post by: GSBellew on August 03, 2010, 12:13:04 AM
I've to do the headgasket on my G40.

Would I be better ordering the VW repair kit or just getting a spurious head inlet and exhaust gasket?

If aftermarket / spurious what make is recommended?

Thanks!

personally for engine internals and things like that i would only use genuine items,
vw supply victor reinz head gaskets i think so you want one of them.

Got a genuine one, its made by Victor Reinz.

Not sure I need it now though as I did a compression test which seems ok in all cylinders  ???
