Title: lumpy idle....

with the blue temp sensor removed it idles perfectly, once plugged back in it get lumpy and sometimes cut out! any ideas??

i have the same problem!
iv replaced the blue censor as well!

its a pain aint it! yea mines a vw sensor aswell, ive had a few problems with my dizzy recentry but i think thats sorted now, it use to breakdown under load. but ic it runs fine when d/c its gotta b firing up ok surely?

My money's on lambda. Both times I've seen a (later) proven duff lambda idle got lumpy once the engine was warm and it would struggle for revs, usually then die.

As I understand it, once the blue temp sendor is unplugged the ECU ignores engine sensors, increases fuel and no longer advances timing with revs to protect the engine.

yup sounds like lambda as above, look for a different blue temp sender aswell as the new ones are notorious for being dodgy
