Thought I'd introduce myself: David, from North Essex, near Colchester.
Been a reader/lurker on here for some time now, finally bit the bullet and joined the forum today...
I had a tornado red G40 , J reg in 2001-3, but had to let it go. Fettled a little, Jabbasport induction kit, new chip & pulley, and loved it. Remember the run up the A12 to a GTI show north of Ipswich where I joined up with a couple of dutch cars including a mk1 Polo with a G40 lump....fun.
Regretted selling the car ever since, but it funded a house renovation, which funded a split screen van, which eventually went to pay for an extension to my current house.
Anyway, now looking for another G40 to make the daily commute a bit more fun, either lowish mielage or very good history, or both!. Very tempted by G-Spot's ad, but didn't want my first post to be in relation to that.
Look forward to being a bit more involved, and learning more about these great cars from you lot.
Cheers
welcome mate - nice to see another returner to the land of g40s
Welcome. Jasons is a very good buy for the money, in fact he is giving it away with all the goodies you get.
Any pictures of the split?

Haven't been to any East Coast Dubs meets as haven't had anything suitable to arrive in for a while...I do keep an eye on their forum though, and will come along when I get myself a G40
